Getting started

First steps for using bananabay during early testing.

Use bananabay with ordinary test data you can afford to correct or lose. The app is useful because the records are specific, not because it guesses everything for you.

Before you add data

  • Do not enter sensitive personal, medical, financial, legal, or identifying details into app content fields.
  • Keep product labels and package information available when food details matter.
  • Expect some screens and workflows to change while the product is in beta.

Basic flow

  1. Sign in.
  2. Open the dashboard to check the current app state.
  3. Add or review food inventory from the food area.
  4. Plan meals from the meals area when you want a simple future menu.
  5. Review schedules and tasks from their pages.
  6. Install the mobile app if you are testing Android Health Connect reporting.
  7. Use settings for data export, deletion, food preferences, task behavior, schedule settings, and weather settings.

Good test data

Use names and quantities that match the item you are tracking. Keep notes short and practical. If a field is not useful to you, leave it blank rather than inventing fake detail.

When something looks wrong

Correct the record in the app if the UI supports it. If a record affects a real decision, verify it outside bananabay before acting on it.
